It’s been a busy week on the PA Wilds Center blog! Businesses and organizations can check out the March editor of the Partner Opportunities page. There is also an RFP (Request for Proposal) out for a Community Partner Contractor Assistance for new PA Wilds Conservation Shop set-up at Leonard Harrison State Park.

Also on the Center blog: there were two big announcements this week. The 2024 PA Wilds Dinner and Awards will be held at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on July 2. In addition, the PA Wilds Center has partnered with Purple Lizard to scout out future maps of PA Wilds.

On the PA Wilds visitor blog, Ed Byers wrote the interesting history of how flagstone from Cameron County was used for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Britt had a fun time writing about the educational program at Parker Dam about maple syrup, as well as how visitors can enjoy hands-on sweet experiences during the Potter-Tioga Maple Weekend on March 16 and 17. A Forest Fridays piece this week features some memories of hunting small game in the woods with loyal dogs.
