July 21 Weekly PA Wilds News Digest
July 21, 2023 Weekly Digest: Recent News from the PA Wilds
The PA Wilds Weekly Digest is a roundup of news articles about the PA Wilds, the region’s public lands and its Landscapes and Journeys that have been published over the past week.
Note: some of the news websites may have paywalls that prevent you from reading their content.
In the media coverage, the escaped inmate in Warren was thankfully captured, leading to a lot of news about the Allegheny National Forest. There were also a couple of mentions of PA Wilds itself, including an article from Clarion News about the Wilds Are Calling Hazy IPA and another piece about James Baumgratz’ mystery non-fiction books that are based in the PA Wilds.
On the PA Wilds blogs, there were five blogs in five days on PAWilds.com! The brewery series and outfitter series continue. Readers can also find a piece introducing the Cameron County participants for Wilds Are Working. In addition, the PAWilds.com blog also has two other outdoor rec-themed stories: a feature story on The Goat Fort in Warren and Ray Hunt’s blog about fly fishing in Potter County.
