April 5, 2024 Weekly Digest: Recent News from the PA Wilds

The PA Wilds Weekly Digest is a roundup of news articles about the PA Wilds, the region’s public lands and its Landscapes and Journeys that have been published over the past week.

Note: some of the news websites may have paywalls that prevent you from reading their content.

Enjoy this week’s PA Wilds News Clips below.

On the PA Wilds visitor blog, there are two timely blogs. One is helping readers get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse in the PA Wilds (a small section in the northwestern part of the PA Wilds is in the path of totality). Another blog has info from PA DCNR, inviting readers to think about big or small ways that they can celebrate Earth Month in April.

On the PA Wilds Center blog, there is a Request for Proposals from individuals and/or firms with experience in business planning and market analysis to give planning partners a clear understanding of the sustainability and earning potential of the PA Wilds Center’s possible new technology platform. The April Partner Opportunities blog is also up, with lots of resources and opportunities for grants, webinars, and more.

On the PA Wilds Marketplace blog, Jill Forquer of Allegheny Nesting has a new outdoor game: The Blue Egg Project, hiding wooden eggs around the PA Wilds to inspire joy.
