Happy Groundhog Day! The PA Wilds region (and the PA Wilds Center) got some mentions in the national media due to our famous groundhog. Thanks, Punxsutawney Phil, for predicting an early spring this year.
On the PA Wilds visitor website and also throughout the news, the Center is happy to announce that both Pennsylvania’s 2024 River of the Year and the 2024 Trail of the Year are in the PA Wilds region… the Allegheny River and the Trails at Jakes Rocks!
It was also a busy week on the PA Wilds Center website. The announcement was made that the PA Wilds Center has received a grant to study potential mobile platform development that could be used to advance rural tourism economies throughout Appalachia.
There is also a February edition of the PA Wilds partner opportunities blog. Check out the full list of grant application deadlines, webinars, conferences and more.
