In the news on the PA Wilds Center website, the PA Wilds Center was proud to be featured as a case study in the Appalachian Regional Commission’s evaluation report of business development grants recently.
In news for entrepreneurs throughout the Pine Creek Valley and PA Grand Canyon landscape and Dark Skies landscape of the PA Wilds, anyone with an innovative idea is encouraged to apply for the 2024 BIG IDEA Contest for the chance to win up to $50,000 to grow their idea. Apply by Tuesday, April 18, 2024 at bfcnp.org/PA-Wilds-24. An informational webinar will also be held on January 24 for interested applicants.
On the PA Wilds visitor blog, readers can learn more about how to spot winter birds in the eastern part of the PA Wilds. They can also learn more about why we call the Allegheny and Clarion Rivers specifically “Wild and Scenic Rivers,” which is a national designation.
