In the PA Wilds Center blog, there is a recap of the PA Wilds Media Lab Grand Opening celebration that happened in Kane on Tuesday. There is plenty of great info there about the Media Lab, along with photos and videos from the event. On the Wilds Cooperative blog, there is a recap of the Fall Membership Meeting, which took place the same day also at the Media Lab. On the PAWilds.com blog, there is also a recap of the recent Trail of the Year celebration that happened for the Mount Jewett to Kinzua Bridge portion of the rail trail, along with a video from DCNR.
In the news from the media, PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship is receiving a grant from EDA which will help fund six plans/studies that will take place over the next three years. More information will be posted by the PA Wilds Center early next week. Also in the media coverage, the Allegheny National Forest Centennial event was celebrated at Twin Lakes Recreation Area, where the PA Wilds Center and many other organizations (along with the public) gathered to mark 100 years since the forest was dedicated.
