The PA Wilds Center’s Sustainable Commerce Program includes the PA Wilds-branded platforms that help regional artists and organizations reach new markets with their products and services.
PA Wilds Conservation Shops
PA Wilds Center’s flagship PA Wilds Conservation Shop was established in 2016 at Kinzua Bridge State Park through a public-private partnership with DCNR. A second location opened at Leonard Harrison State Park in 2021 as a seasonal mobile unit, and transitioned to a brick-and-mortar store in 2024. We opened a third Conservation Shop in Marienville along the Knox-Kane Rail Trail in 2024. These stores provide an opportunity for local artists who join the Wilds Cooperative to sell products directly to area visitors.

PA Wilds Marketplace
In addition to physical stores, we launched the digital PA Wilds Marketplace at ShopThePAWilds.com in 2021. A true maker marketplace, the platform allows artists to manage their own online storefronts on the site while taking advantage of PA Wilds marketing. More than 30 unique artists are currently vendors on the Marketplace, making it easy for shoppers to find many PA Wilds made products all one one site!

What the Vendors Have To Say
Investing in Local Businesses Through Regional Product Sourcing
One of our main product lines is The Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania, a network of more than 600 businesses, including 200+ local producers, artists and craftspeople from across the Pennsylvania Wilds region. These are people who live and work in rural PA, love what they do, and have proven through a jurying process that they are good at doing it. Shoppers can learn more about these producers by clicking on the "Meet the Maker" tab that is included in each product description on the website.
