The PA Wilds Center's Regional Planning & Partnerships program focuses on deepening and widening the critical partnerships and planning needed to advance the region as a sustainable outdoor recreation destination. This includes supporting key stakeholder networks; maintaining partnerships with foundational investors and helping coordinate new investment in the landscape; undertaking or supporting key reports and studies; recognizing excellent work by partners through an annual awards event; and participating in local, regional, state and national peer networks.
DCNR PA Wilds Conservation Landscape Program / External Lead Nonprofit
PA Wilds Center is the designated external lead nonprofit for the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ PA Wilds Conservation Landscape program. In this role, the Center helps facilitate and coordinate investment in the regional strategy by public and private partners at the local, state and national level.

PA Wilds Planning Team / Administrative Home
PA Wilds Center also is the administrative home for the PA Wilds Planning Team, a stakeholder group formed through a groundbreaking Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement in 2006 and brought the county governments together to look at planning issues as part of developing an outdoor recreation destination. The group has grown to include more than 50 partners from planning, economic development, tourism, heritage, historic preservation and conservation organizations. The Planning Team helps shape the Center’s programs and services. Read the Declaration of Principles developed by the region’s visitor bureaus and adopted by the PA Wilds Planning Team and PA Wilds Center. It still gives us chills today!
