Grant funding for small businesses in the PA Wilds impacted by COVID

Governor Tom Wolf on Monday announced a $225 million statewide grant program to support small businesses that were impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis and subsequent business closure order.

PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship and The Progress Fund, a non-profit community development financial institution (CDFI) that serves the region, are working together to get funds into the important tourism economy of the Pennsylvania Wilds, which has been heavily impacted due to closures and restrictions on travel, as highlighted in our recent white paper.

Many details about this grant program are still being worked out. No application is currently available. PA Wilds Center encourages tourism businesses – local outfitters, breweries, wineries, distilleries, retailers, lodges, B&Bs, restaurants, artisan makers and similar establishments – that are interested in learning more to join our free network, The Wilds Cooperative of PA (WCO) to stay abreast of the latest details as they become available. There is no cost to join the WCO.
