We are pleased to announce that Katharine Ferguson, Associate Director of the Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group and Director of CSG’s Regional and Rural Development Initiatives, will be the keynote speaker for the 2019 PA Wilds Annual Dinner & Awards.

The Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC., released a research brief in early 2019 on Rural Development Hubs, via the Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group. The brief presented topline findings from interviews with 40 field-leading Rural Development Hubs in the United States.

Earl Gohl, former Federal Co-Chairman of the Appalachian Regional Commission, and the 2018 PA Wilds Annual Dinner keynote speaker, was the first to identify the PA Wilds initiative as a Rural Development Hub, and sparked a conversation between the PA Wilds Center and the Aspen Institute.

Join more than 250 businesses and community leaders from across the Pennsylvania Wilds, along with state partners and officials from Harrisburg as we gather PA Wilds Annual Dinner & Awards to get an update on the state and local effort to grow the region’s economy and recognize Champions of the PA Wilds award winners.

Online registration is now closed.  A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
(for $35/person)
